In this lesson we focus on the use of the E pentatonic scale in the open position. This is great for creating blues-rock grooves, fills and riffs.
Riffs like these present us the opportunity to work on our dynamics, adding in the “herbs and spices” as I like to call them. These include techniques such as: palm-muting, accents, dampening and vibrato.
